Gampaha: A Region of Real Estate Opportunities

Situated at the north of the commercial capital of Colombo, the highly populated Gampaha District is one of the three districts of the Western Province of Sri Lanka. Before it was recognized as a district of Sri Lanka, Gampaha was almost completely covered in dense forests up until the early 20th century, when the construction of the Negombo-Colombo Road cleared this zone. 
The word Gampaha, when translated to English, literally means 'five villages'. This includes the villages of Ihalagama, Pahalagama, Medagama, Pattiyagama...
