Rooms for Rent in Colombo

Education and employment are two factors that go hand in hand. If you are educated then the chances of being employed in Colombo or anywhere for that matter are great. But if you aren't, you could still be employed, however the return you gain for your efforts and your career growth is questionable. In Sri Lanka, luckily free education is provided from primary school to tertiary. But you cannot ignore the high competition and inefficiencies in the system as well. Nonetheless, despite the standard of education and the opportunities available for employment, many students from the rural areas of the country move towards the main city of Colombo or an area close to the city to meet their requirements. Friends move together and end up sharing rooms with attached bathrooms in an annex for rent in colombo to reduce the high rent in colombo that one person would have to bear, by renting rooms in colombo. Thus choosing comfort over living in boarding rooms in Colombo that aren't as fancy as they promise to be with a mini fridge, free wifi, clean rooms, swimming pool and great location! Most times what you get is quite the opposite when you visit the site in person.

Education is a huge part of the Sri Lankan culture. Most parents strive to send their kids to state universities given that they are free of charge and reputed as well. But on the negative side, state universities are shut half the time and there are numerous complaints about bullying. This leaves many students choosing to look for jobs over even considering completing their tertiary education. While in terms of property this is a huge opportunity for those offering rooms for rent in colombo, houses for rent in colombo, annexes in colombo or newly built cheap city hotels colombo with 24 hour front desk, for students and parents this is a moment of despair. The 14 year long sacrifices they make throughout their child's education living in rooms for rent in dehiwala after moving to the city, simply boils down to either depression by enduring it all or a semi qualified drop out. It doesn't matter that they have been looking for rooms in colombo to ensure their kids stay safe even while they are away from home or that the room for rent might not always meet their budget. Instead prayers are made in the hope of employment of some sort. Whether it means having to keep looking for rooms for rent in nugegoda as temporary shelter or wait at a bus stand for hours to get home after a hard day's of work!

On the bright side though, Sri Lanka isn't so bad. The youths are now finding quicker and more efficient ways of educating themselves. Whether it is through self-learning in classrooms for rent in Colombo or by looking for government institutions that require a payment to be made unlike the state universities, they are now realizing the range of job opportunities available on a global scale thanks to the internet. So now it doesn't matter if you don't own a room for rent among the many rooms available in colombo or whether you live in a single room in high level road or nugegoda junction with a separate entrance paying a monthly rent or whether you've found your home in the many apartments for rent in colombo, because you can choose to either work from home or become self-employed!
